Texas Tech vs Oklahoma odds: Red Raiders
looking to stay undefeated
WHO: No. 2 Texas Tech Red Raiders at No.
5 Oklahoma Sooners (-6)
WHAT: NCAA football betting
WHEN: Saturday, November 22 in 8:00 p.m. ET
WHERE: Memorial Stadium in Norman, OK
KEY STATS: Oklahoma has won seven of its last 10 against Texas Tech
PICK: Texas Tech
NCAA football betting figured Texas Tech
would have a good season, but no one would have bet the Red Raiders would
be undefeated and ranked second in the country this late in the year. However,
the Red Raiders face a massive task this Saturday night, when they head
to Norman to face No. 5 Oklahoma, which is as dominant at home as any team
in the country.
Texas Tech vs Oklahoma odds give the early
edge to the Sooners, but in this matchup of two of the most explosive offenses
in the country, offshore sportsbook players will have their hands full making
their NCAA football picks.
The Red Raiders (10-0) are coming off a bye
week and they will be going up against their fourth-consecutive ranked opponent.
Their last effort was a 56-20 romp over Oklahoma State at home, led by Graham
Harrell, who was 40-of-50 for 456 yards and six touchdowns.
This was Harrell’s fourth game with five
touchdowns or more, and it was also his sixth game with 400 or more passing
yards. The Red Raiders are second in the nation in total offense, and the
duo of Harrell to receiver Michael Crabtree has torched the Big 12 this
season.
Texas Tech vs Oklahoma betting has the Red
Raiders as an underdog for the third time in this brutal four-game stretch,
but Texas Tech has been overcoming NCAA football betting odds all season.
The Sooners (9-1) continued their offensive
explosion with a 66-28 rout at Texas A&M, racking up 653 yards (325
through the air, 328 on the ground). Sam Bradford was 22-of-33 for 320 yards
and four touchdowns, setting an Oklahoma career record for completions,
and this was his school record-tying eighth game with 300 or more passing
yards.
Chris Brown ran for 117 yards and three scores
for the Sooners, who were just as impressive on defense as they were on
offense. Oklahoma held the Aggies to 278 yards of offense, including 26
yards on the ground, while forcing four turnovers along the way. Texas Tech
vs Oklahoma odds are slanted towards the Sooners, who have lost just once
at home in their last 18 games at Memorial Stadium.
BLAKE’S PICK: Texas Tech vs Oklahoma betting
has the Sooners as six-point favorites at home but, while the Sooners have
won seven of their last 10 meetings with Texas Tech, the Red Raiders have
taken two of the last three. Like many of the Big 12 showdowns this season,
this should be a shootout as two of the top three scoring offenses in the
country go head-to-head.
However, the Red Raiders’ defense has been
marginally better than Oklahoma’s, and the Sooners have lost their last
three “big” games under Bob Stoops (two bowl games, this season’s home loss
to Texas). The Harrell-Crabtree duo has been the nation’s best over the
past two seasons and, combined with one major defensive stop, online sports
betting players should bet on the Texas Tech Red Raiders to move one step
closer to the BCS title game with a thrilling win this weekend.
